<Eating Music Campilation Vol.1> is a compilation album with quality sounding material from all artists of Eating Music, a Chinese independent music label which founded in 2018. Beside an ordinary compilation, this release contains more interaction and exploration between each producer/musician. In July 2018, Eating Music held its first-time label camp. All of the Eating Music artists including Chasegreen from Nanjing, Cocoonics, M.Du from Hong Kong, Kool Klone from Taiwan and an American producer, Cruel Buddhist, who lives in Shanghai now, have showed their passion and talents on music during the camp. Most of them didn’t know each other or even meet before. Under the similar taste and purpose on music, they established a good-teamwork relationship in an apartment, which also known as a record store named “Daily Vinyl (House)”. Making music & videos, sharing ideas and participating in workshop... a brand new Chinese independent music label fully appeared in people’s sight in the camp. After “the first touch” then to staying up late in the night talking about music producing, a lot of inspiration and new ideas came up and combined in this compilation album finally. It might not be the perfect solution for the album being released in both digital format and cassette tapes to present the first collaboration of all artists from the label, but obviously it’s a nice starter for a label with pure and original music purpose.
<Eating Music Campilation Vol.1> represents the most genuine product from Eating Music for now.
