Since 2018, Eating Music has stepped into its sixth year. As a micro-music label, we have never thought about giving too much missions and meanings to the works that we output. All we can do is to continue as long as possible , intentionally or unintentionally observe and record the times from neither radical nor conservative but an auditory and musical perspective, searching for and conveying the resonances.

In 2023, with "RUN" as the theme symbol, eight groups of musicians from Eating Music family were invited to the creation of the annual compilation "Running with Friends". We've spent much more time at home than usual for the past year - 2022, staying on a man-made, stagnant island for so long, and even that became a new lifestyle or a certain kind of inertia. Still, there will be moments that we urge to run and get out to see the world. We injected many types of impulses and emotions into the eight tracks, they can become the soundtracks that accompany you to sweat in the sun, or they can be the flowing brain wave signals, breaking through the material world and allowing everyone to go running to meet each other. We pass by here and we all have something to say, but if the language can not express properly this time, are you willing to join us, experience and feel with us together? Running, from the beginning to the end of this world with unreserved sincerity.

从2018年成长至今，宜听音乐（Eating Music）迈入第六年，作为一个微型音乐厂牌，我们从未想过要为输出的作品赋予多大使命和意义，能做到的只是尽量不断持续，有意无意的以听觉角度做时代的观察和记录，不激进也绝对不保守的，寻求或传递一些共鸣。

2023年，以“RUN”作为主题符号，邀请宜听大家庭的八组音乐人参与创作年度合辑“Running with Friends”。过去这一年我们呆在家的时间比往常更多，在人造安全岛上停滞太久，即使已形成新习惯或某种惰性，仍然会有些时刻产生想要奔跑起来、跑出去看看的冲动，我们将种种冲动与感受灌注进八首作品中 —— 它们可以成为阳光下陪你流汗的BGM，也可以是流动的脑电波信号，冲破物质世界让奔跑着的大家彼此交汇。我们在这里擦身而过，我想说的你知道，你想说的我也知道，一起体验、感受，带着毫无保留的赤诚跑向这个世界的终点与起点。

This, friends, is my only reported “favorite album of 2021.” This album- granted, an anthology- has so many textures. I noted in a 3-track ‘spanse being reminded of Four Tet (albeit beatless), Trepaningritualen (plus harmonica), and Acid Mothers Temple (sans guitar). The Sonologyst is a curatorial genius.
